Laura Duralija: Artistic Producer

Laura is a Toronto-based actor, writer, and producer, and a Founding Member of DreamNorth.  Selected credits include Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (DreamNorth), Rosa in the Toronto premiere of Lucia Frangione’s Espresso (Theatre Best / Before), The Anatomy of Miss Gee (playwright); however, her proudest recent achievement was starting and co-producing Upstaging Cancer, a two-evening arts festival in benefit of cancer research. Laura is a former Metcalf Foundation Producer Intern at Necessary Angel, and holds a BAH in Drama and English Literature from Queen’s University, an MA in Drama from The University of Toronto, and a certificate in Shakespeare from The RADA Summer School.

 

Aaron Stern: Associate Producer

Aaron is a Founding Member and Associate Producer of DreamNorth. He is also an actor whose credits include: Pobby and Dingan (LKTYP), Peter Pan (Citadel Theatre), 365 Days / 365 Plays (Theatre Best / Before), Problem Child (Theatre Kingston), and Lost in Yonkers (Burloak Theatre Group). Aaron teaches workshops in improvisation, Shakespeare, and movement. Upcoming, he will be playing The Kid in Theatre Calgary’s production of Jake and the Kid.

 

Stacey Norton: General Manager

This is Stacey’s second year working with DreamNorth, and her first year as General Manager. A Graduate of the Queen’s University Drama Programme (BAH), her selected credits include: Stage Manager for both the Toronto Premiere of Lucia Frangione’s Espresso (Theatre Best / Before) and Much Ado About Nothing (DreamNorth), production Intern for Linda Griffith’s Age of Arousal (Nightwood Theatre), Director of Willy Russel’s Blood Brothers (Queen’s Musical Theatre), Choreographer for Vikki Vansickle’s production of Dealing With Dragons (Lock & KeyNote Productions). Stacey has also worked as a theatre administrator for OpenCorps Theatre, Queen of Puddings Music Theatre, and the Canadian Stage Company. 

 

Sarah Spencer: Publicity Coordinator

Sarah is a graduate of The University of Toronto and Sheridan College, where she received her BA in Theatre and Drama Studies, and a Diploma in Acting. Since graduating, she has had the unique and inspiring opportunity to travel through Western Canada playing the roles of Audrey / Balthasar in Smashing Bat’s production of As You Like It, as well as travelling up to the Yukon with DreamNorth last summer to play Margaret / Balthasar in Much Ado About Nothing. Closer to home, she played the title role of Evadne in Beaumont & Fletcher’s classic play, The Maid’s Tragedy, at Theatre Erindale, while more contemporary credits include Judy in In the Rough and Lisa in Vino Loves Tomatoes for Acorn Theatre; ensemble roles in the touring children’s theatre company, Little Red Theatre; Amy in Tape, which was produced by the Unweeded Garden Theatre Company; and Emma in Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical, which was part of the Erindale Fringe. Sarah is thrilled to be part of such a dedicated team committed to creating work for emerging artists and bringing art and culture to the Yukon.

 

Amy Thomasson: Fundraising Coordinator

Amy is a theatre artist who splits her time between Toronto, Vancouver and her beige Corolla.  She is thrilled to be involved in her first season with DreamNorth and when she grows up, she wants to grow vegetables.  Amy has a BAH in Theatre and Film from Queen’s University and has studied abroad in England, Scotland and New York as part of her theatre education.  She likes trailmix, beautiful insides, infectious laughter and walking barefoot.
